Doors, trim and cabinets
Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel is the coating Torres prefers for doors, cabinets and trim. This interior/exterior coating delivers the smooth, uniform finish of an oil-based enamel with the convenience of a water- based formula.
For interior applications, it delivers excellent hardness, adhesion and a silky-smooth uniform finish. For exterior applications, this exceptional all-around performer delivers durability, gloss and color retention, while resisting yellowing. Interior walls
His favorites for interior walls are Emerald Interior Acrylic Latex Paint and Duration Home® Interior Acrylic Latex.
Emerald Interior is a paint and primer in one with exceptional hide, coverage, durability and washability. Its advanced stain-blocking technology prevents stains from penetrating and offers exceptional scrub, stain, block, water spotting and burnish resistance.
Emerald is available in four sheens, including a technologically advanced flat finish that offers the same washability, durability and burnish resistance as the matte or glossier sheens.
Duration Home features advanced stain-blocking technology to seal in stains already on walls. Most stains wipe clean with water or mild soap, so it’s a perfect paint for bathrooms.
Both of these Emerald and Duration Home products contain anti-microbial agents which inhibit the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the paint film.
Exteriors
Depending on the project, Torres says Emerald and Duration® paints are the best options for his exterior jobs.
Emerald Exterior Acrylic Latex is a premium paint and primer in one that helps pros achieve stunning exterior results that stand the test of time in fewer coats. It offers exceptional hide and durability, a mildew- resistant coating and extreme resistance to blistering, peeling and color fade.
Duration Exterior Acrylic Latex is formulated with PermaLast® technology and infused with advanced acrylic co-polymers for long-lasting performance. It has a thicker coat than ordinary latex paint and provides excellent protection from cracking, peeling and blistering.
Plus, it’s available in Sherwin-Williams VinylSafe® paint colors, which allows customers to choose from 100 color options, including a limited selection of darker colors formulated to resist warping or buckling when applied to sound, stable vinyl siding.
